After a couple nights in a vacation rental in McCall we have decided that we MUST get bunk beds for the girls. They slept better than ever and Charlotte told us she misses them already. ... She wants the Sponge Bob pillowcases also :)
I can hardly think of this blog as my journal while continuing to the avoid one of the most prevelant issues that has been going in my life. My mom was recently diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer. Just getting the diagnosis seeemed impossible. We knew something was very wrong but it was just appointment after appointment of more tests, images, samples, blah, blah, blah. That part was really hard.... the waiting. She has been in a lot of pain but it is being controlled with morphine. After the diagnosis things started moving much faster. Yesterday she had a port placed and today she received she first session of chemotherapy. Cancer is terrifying but my mom is facing it head on. I am so impressed with her positive attitude and bravery. I am looking forward to the day that she is just another inspiring survivor story and until then I am hoping to have a fraction of the courage that she does. I love this beautiful woman <3
Also... ever wonder where Hazel got those beautiful blues?.... mystery solved : )
Hazel and I were enjoying some us time while Big Sister was at dance class and for some reason she thought it was fun to pull my hair : / I said something like "ow Hazel; that hurts Momma, pull your own hair and see... It's an owee". She looked at me like I was crazy and pointed to her hair like "hu-uh... I'm not going to pull this!" This is one smart little stinker! She understands so much and uses her baby signs constantly. I'm thinking one finger to her hair means "no way!!"
It is so nice to be reminded of the fat crush I have on my Husband! We met and fell in love at Bogus Basin and whenever we get the chance to sneak away and snowboard together I remember being 19 or 20 years old and just kinda admiring him, as cheesy as that sounds : ) I love ripping around the mountain with him... And even just watching him rip around the mountain. I kinda have a thing for that hot, snowboard boy I fell for so many years ago.
