Puddle Duck

There are perks to living in a growing neighborhood... if you're a toddler : )
There is an open field near us that crews have been working on for about a week now. Moving dirt, digging holes and making noise... All very entertaining to watch from the upstairs window! At the end of the day one last big truck drives by and sprays water everywhere in an attempt to keep the neighborhood from being overtaken by dust. This is our cue! We head outside to stomp in the little tiny mud puddles and check out all the big machines that have been parked for the night. These shoes are now strictly for "puddle-ducking". Life is good!... even though the fascinating trucks are noisy and start early : )

Bubble Blower

Today we went and played at the Y and had so much fun! Charlotte was giggling and squealing just about the entire time. Jake and I were showing her how to blow bubbles in the water and she happily dipped her face in to show us that she could blow bubbles too : ) I am so proud! It may seem silly but as an ex-swim instructor I know that bubble blowing is a tricky thing to learn and a pretty big deal! It is so nice to see that she is comfortable (yet cautious) in the water and I am looking forward to a lot more pool time with my little water baby!!You can actually see water spilling out from her smile : )
Swimmer girl!
