Swift Kick

My hubby's resume reads a little differently than most. For the past three summers he worked out on the road with The Steve Miller Band. It was a great gig but it kept him away from home for a big part of the summer. We decided that with Baby Charlotte here no amount of money could justify missing out on so much time with her. However, when an opportunity presented itself for Jake to go out with Taylor Swift for just a week it sounded pretty do-able. So Jake has been working as a guitar-tech out on the road for the past week. We missed him so much and truly appreciate the sacrifice he made to make money, money, make money money (that's my little thank you rap) for the family. Conveniently his last show is tonight at the Nampa Center so Charlotte and I were able to go out and spend a little time with our hard workin' man. It sounds like Jake may be doing a week or two at a time throughout the summer which is much more tolerable than his old schedule! The stage was just being constructed... looks like a big ordeal!

Here's a pic of Charly in Dadu's teeny, tiny sleeping bunk on the tour bus. Needless to say he is looking forward to our bed tonight!

Me and my quazi-mullet in Taylor's lounge the "T Party Room"

Dadu's World.

Charlotte liked the red lights on that tuner in the background : 0

Look at all the pretty guitars!
(Not as pretty as the one's Dadu makes though)

It was such a nice treat to go see Jake while he had some downtime! He and his girl were inseparable the whole time that we were there and then she cried all the way home. *heart breaks* We love you and are so happy that you are home!.. well almost home : )

I am continually impressed with how hard you are both working at being "totally rad!!!" parents to Charlotte. Lots of love!!!
